About

I have spent the last decade sitting with people in some of the hardest, most disorienting seasons of their lives.

I have also spent those same years figuring out how to build something sustainable for myself, failing at some of it, learning from most of it, and still very much in the middle of it.

Both of those things are true at the same time. That is basically my whole deal.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a primary training in AEDP, which is a relational and experiential approach to therapy that focuses on helping people actually feel something shift, not just understand why it hasn't.

I also draw on IFS, somatic therapy, and Gottman method for couples work. I have been practicing for over a decade and have supervised more than twelve clinicians.

My clinical focus is anxiety, complex trauma and CPTSD, maternal mental health, life transitions, career stress, relationship struggles, and couples therapy. The through-line across all of it is the same: I work at the level of the nervous system, because that is where things actually change. You can understand a pattern completely and still be running it. The body has to be part of it.

I am licensed in Maine, Illinois, and Massachusetts. I accept BCBS and Aetna, with United Healthcare pending.

The Therapeutic Work

The Coaching Work

Alongside my clinical practice I work with therapists who want to build income beyond sessions.

I started building my own income streams several years ago, partly out of necessity and partly because I could see the ceiling that comes with a career built entirely on the therapy hour. I have tried a lot of things. Some worked. Some did not. All of it is now curriculum.

I am not teaching this from the other side of some finished version of the thing. I am a few years ahead on the same road, and I know where it gets hard.

The program is called Realign. It is a four month one on one container for therapists who are done circling the idea and ready to actually build.

 A Little More

Woman in tree yoga pose, role of therapist for anxiety.

I live on the coast of Maine with my family. I grew up here, spent years convinced I would leave for good, lived in Thailand for a year after college, moved around for a bit, and eventually found my way back. I'm glad I did.

When I am not working I am typically spending time with my family, swimming in the ocean (usually when it's warm enough, but occasionally when it's not), in my garden, or in the kitchen. I grew up cooking, my mom was a chef, and it is still one of my favorite ways to spend my time. I have strong opinions about food and you may hear about them. And yes, yes I do want to know about that recipe you tried.

I am also a 200-hour trained yoga teacher, which is less about the poses and more about what the body knows that the mind has not caught up to yet. That thread runs through everything I do.
